Gabriela Cezar
Twenty years of experience in the pharmaceutical sector, with a solid track record in R&D and transactions in the sector. CEO of Panarea Partners, a boutique Strategic Advisory Company with consolidated transactions for clients such as Aché, Biolab Sanus, D'Or Institute (Rede D'Or São Luiz), AmoyDx (China), Algenis and Oncoclínicas&Co, among others. Head of ERDI (External Research & Development Innovation) at Pfizer for Latin America and South Africa, Director at Burrill & Company, led the raising and development of a pioneering venture capital fund of US$ 120 million focused on biotechnology in Brazil. Co-founder and former CSO of Stemina Biomarker Discovery in Madison, WI, a biotech founded in 2007 that commercializes diagnostic services and its inventions, patented by the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Recognized by global awards such as WE Upjohn Award and Pfizer Worldwide Innovation Award, "Top 40 Under 40" by InBusiness magazine, and named by Forbes Magazine as "one of the twelve stem cell revolutionaries" in 2008. She holds a degree in Veterinary Medicine from UFMS (Brazil), an MS degree from the University of Brasília (Brazil), an MS degree from the University of Edinburgh (Scotland), and a PhD from the University of Wisconsin-Madison (USA).
Maiara Nishino


Carolina Cezar
Maiara has over 10 years of experience in Regulatory Affairs across the Life Sciences and Healthcare sectors.
She is a multidisciplinary professional with a solid track record in formulating regulatory strategies, navigating complex approval processes, and establishing strong relationships with health authorities in Latin America. Her background uniquely combines scientific, legal, and business expertise.
Maiara holds a degree in Biochemistry from the University of São Paulo (FCF/USP), a Master’s in Clinical Research from Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health (USA), and an MBA in Business and Project Management from FIA/USP.
She has served as Senior Regulatory Manager at leading pharmaceutical companies and is the founder of CO.RA, a regulatory and drug development consultancy focused on the Latin American market. Maiara was also recognized as the first regulatory leader to obtain approval for a full-spectrum cannabis product in Brazil — a milestone in the country’s medical cannabis landscape.
Carolina holds a degree in Architecture and Urbanism. From 2010 to 2017, she was a partner at Def Projetos (formerly De Fournier Associados), one of Brazil’s leading urban planning and architecture firms, with a portfolio exceeding 190 million square meters of urbanized area. She was responsible for managing numerous large-scale real estate developments across the country.
In 2018, Carolina joined the team at Panarea Partners, where she led procurement processes and oversaw project and construction management for the Latam Medical Cannabis Hub, located at Parque de las Ciencias in Montevideo, Uruguay. During this time, she worked directly with global leaders in the medical cannabis sector and developed deep expertise in systems, equipment, infrastructure, and workflows for medical cannabis research and development laboratories.
Carolina joined Vettiva in 2020 and currently serves as Director of Operations.
Audrey Perondi


Solange Almeida
Audrey holds a postgraduate degree in Business Administration from Fundação Dom Cabral (São Paulo, Brazil) and a Law degree from the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro (PUC-Rio).
With a strong legal background, she began her career in Corporate Law and Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A), working at one of the largest law firms in Latin America between 2015 and 2018. Over the years, she has gained extensive experience in strategic negotiations, structuring complex contracts, and managing disputes involving Intellectual Property assets.
At Vettiva, Audrey not only leads regulatory matters before ANVISA and MAPA, but also plays a key role in shaping the company’s institutional, commercial, and brand positioning strategies — integrating marketing, innovation, and business development. She leads the construction of Vettiva’s public identity with a focus on scientific credibility, market differentiation, and stakeholder engagement.
In 2021, she was elected a Permanent Member of the Ethics Committee of BRCANN (Brazilian Association for Industrial Cannabis), reinforcing her commitment to ethical governance and the responsible advancement of the cannabis sector in Brazil.

Solange Almeida
Solange Almeida has over 22 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, with a strong background in the administrative management of regulatory processes.
Throughout her career, she has specialized in the preparation, organization, and control of technical documentation for the submission of regulatory dossiers to agencies such as ANVISA and MAPA, working in close collaboration with Regulatory Affairs, Quality, and R&D departments.
Graduated in Social Communication with an emphasis in Public Relations, she combines her organizational and institutional communication skills with a solid technical understanding of the regulatory requirements of the pharmaceutical sector.

Our experience in Medicinal Cannabis
Our expertise in medical cannabis and healthcare innovation is recognized by leading industry organizations such as BIO LINK, where we hosted the inaugural session on medical cannabis at the largest global conference for the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries in 2019.
Moreover, we also participated in BIO Latin America in the same year, as well as other key industry conferences in Brazil, Latin America, and the United States.
